A missed call from Steve late Friday afternoon had me calling him back later in the evening to hear the news; Tijan “The Birdman” Kanteh was here, staying with Steve. Tijan is a Gambian bird guide, he’ll get you the bird.
So, along with many others who have used Tijan’s services in The Gambia, I had a trip to Cresswell to have a reunion, having last seen him in 2007.
We did our best to keep his list ticking; a Spotted Redshank flew in while we were there, another new bird!
A good old chunter was had, with lots of “mumbo jumbo”
