Crested Coot

can’t bring myself to call them Red-knobbed Coot…
there is a paper some where in British Birds, titled “Knob Nibbling in Crested Coot”, who let that get through?
Trying unsuccessfully to find the above article in BB I also came across this from BB vol 73 10; "Why are Capercaillie cocks so big?" and thats on the front cover, top shelf stuff.
